NICOLE, 45 VITAL STATISTICS

SINGLE for two years, no children.

CURRENT ROLE ACTRESS and singer.

WOULD LIKE TO MEET

SOMEONE tall, dark and handsome. He’ll be funny and will love the country as much as the city.

DATING PAST

My career has been important to me, but I’ve still been in four serious relationships throughout my 20s and 30s.However, my job means I could be away from home for long periods filming.

PRE-DATE NERVES?

NO, THE prospect of a blind date doesn’t reduce me to a bundle of nerves. I was more excited about an evening out. I’ve been living with my parents during lockdown and the idea of a date was fabulous. It’s my first one in three years.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS?

I’ve always fancied Italian men, but I did not expect the ridiculously perfect, handsome, tanned guy who arrived at our table. He smelled good and was beautifully dressed in a fitted, light-blue suit.

EASY TO TALK TO?

LORENZO is someone who likes to talk a lot and one of his favourite subjects is himself. He told me I wouldn’t have fancied him in his 20s.apparently, he had zero confidence because he was paranoid about having a rather hairy chest.

I appreciate his honesty. Lorenzo has twin sons and told me it was a bit of a surprise when he discovered he was going to be a father.

EMBARRASSING MOMENTS?

LORENZO wasn’t sure what the Italian word for scallops was and so I attempted to mime them placing my hands against my boobs to illustrate the shape of their shells. Lorenzo was a complete flirt and said: ‘oh, Nicole, don’t do this. I won’t be able to take my eyes off you.’

DID SPARKS FLY?

of course, I fancied Lorenzo, most women would. He’s a good-looking and sexy man. Lorenzo said all the right things, he is touchy-feely and winks a lot. He made it crystal clear he prefers older women.

SEE HIM AGAIN?

yes. as a friend. I’m not sure either of us wants to take things further.Lorenzo spent the first half of his life studying and feeling unattractive and is now making up for lost time.

WHAT DO YOU THINK HE THOUGHT OF YOU?

He Loved that I’d been to Naples and knew about Greek and roman literature. although I’m deeply offended that he didn’t try to get me into bed — he’s Italian, for goodness sake. on a serious note, I’m looking forward to settling down with someone and, right now, Lorenzo isn’t.

WOULD YOUR FAMILY LIKE HIM?

THEY’D be worried that I’d get my heart broken!
