Energy policy folly
thanK you, daily Mail, for highlighting the folly of our Government’s lack of foresight in preparing for the possibility of energy shortages.
Instead they foolishly rely on expensive gas supplies from often dubious foreign powers who can cut us off at will.
they have missed opportunities, from fracking, gas storage, north sea gas exploration, new nuclear power stations and coal mines, which would have averted the disaster in which we find ourselves.
Instead they blindly succumbed to the eco pressure groups who seem to dictate government policy.
It’s obvious that a headlong rush into zero carbon without adequate preparation can only have disastrous consequences for the economy.
