■ GOLD explorer and producer Hummingbird Resources headed underground after its production was hit by shortages of mining equipment.
For the third quarter of 2021, the company – founded in 2005 – poured 22,102 ounces of gold, down from 24,494 ounces in the second quarter of the year, as a result of what it said was an ‘underperformance’ by its mining contractor.
Full-year production from Hummingbird’s Yanfolila mine in Mali is also expected to be ‘at the lower end’ of its guidance range of between 100,000 and 110,000 ounces.
The shares tumbled 15.7pc, or 3.25p, to 17.5p.
