Mum dies after putting off jab as she was busy with kids

A MOTHER died of Covid after constantly ‘putting off’ getting vaccinated because she was busy with her children.

Rashelle Baird’s devastated father Stephen said she was ‘not an anti-vaxxer’ and ‘just put her kids first’.

Mother-of-three Miss Baird, 27, from Brechin in Scotland, died in hospital last week.

Her father warned those who have not yet been vaccinated to ‘just get it done’. He insisted: ‘Every time she got an appointment she had something to do with the kids. So she put it off and put it off.’ He told the BBC: ‘She wanted to get her vaccine but she put her kids first.’

Miss Baird suffered from asthma and initially thought she had caught a cold from her children. But her symptoms dramatically worsened.

She died after days in an induced coma in intensive care. Her father believes she would have pulled through if she was vaccinated.

Her sister Lani said Miss Baird had been ‘determined’ to get the jab but never managed to get round to it.
