THIS week, Carol (pictured) visits the Beth Chatto Gardens near Colchester in Essex. Beth, who died in 2018, was a pioneering plantswoman who created a rich and complex garden in one of Britain’s driest areas. Most famously, she transformed a car park into her drought-resistant Gravel Garden.
