Build for the future

-

NOT only should all new homes be fitted with an electric car charging point (Mail), they should also have off-road parking.

Garages should be big enough for an average family car and new-builds should have sufficient storage space with built-in wardrobes, a cloakroom, pantry, utility room, cupboards and loft space. And a covered area to house recycling and wheelie bins. BRIAN CHRISTLEY,

Abergele, Conwy. ALL new houses should be obliged to have garages that are wide and long enough for vehicles bigger than a smart car.

This would cut down on double parking on roads, there would be less car vandalism and theft.

I’ve never understood why people leave a car worth thousands of pounds parked outside when their garage is full of junk. FRANCIS TINDALE,

Wisbech, Cambs. AS WELL as an electric car charging point, it would also be a good idea for all new homes to have solar panels.

Not only would this be better for the environment, but it would also help reduce the cost of charging your electric vehicle.

BRIAN GILBERT, Braunton, Devon.
