Award is out of tune
THE decision by the Brit Awards to scrap male and female categories and replace them with genderneutral trophies (Mail) is being lauded by the organisers as more inclusive, but how can it be?
Is it a cost-cutting ploy — why give two awards when you can hand out just one? — or simply the Brits jumping on the snowflake, woke, label bandwagon?
What next, scrapping the traditional greeting to the audience of ‘Ladies and gentlemen’ for ‘Oi, you lot out there’?
