What about home care?

THE changes to the funding of social care do not affect people being cared for at home by their family. Home care still has to be paid if you have any savings or own your own home.

I am paying more than £40,000 a year for two hours of care each day for my wife, who has Alzheimer’s.

Once her lifetime savings are used up, social services will press for her to be moved to a care home.
