Squid Game smuggler faces death

A NORTH Korean smuggler who sneaked copies of Netflix hit Squid Game into his homeland has reportedly been sentenced to death.

The man secretly took the dystopian thriller over the border from China on USB hard drives, according to Radio Free Asia. Foreign media is banned by Pyongyang. The man will face death by firing squad having been caught by ‘censors’, the report said.

A student who bought one of the hard drives was purportedly given a life sentence and six friends who then watched the South Korean show were given five years’ hard labour.
