SCI-FI SHOW RETURNS Star Trek: Discovery, 9pm, Pluto TV

FOR complex corporate reasons, the new season of this Star Trek show has moved from Netflix to a weekly, 9pm slot on free streaming service Pluto TV. We’re a little behind the U.S. so, to catch up, two episodes will be available tonight at pluto.tv or via Apple and Android devices, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Chromecast and some smart TVs.

FREEVIEW MOVIE Suicide Squad, 9pm, ITV2

AN ATTEMPT to make the villains from the DC Comics universe into a bankable project in their own right. It’s a bit of a mess, but has some stars worth tuning in for, including Will Smith as conflicted killer Deadshot. Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, however, steals the show.
