IT’s quite extraordinary how many TV programmes there are about royalty, whether they are documentaries or dramas.

It’s become an obsession to reveal every tiny detail of the Royal Family’s lives. Do the TV channels believe viewers wish to watch this?

Who would want that level of intrusion in their lives?
