Cellist Julian takes a bow

-

CELLIST Julian Lloyd Webber, who was heartbroken when forced to quit performing seven years ago because of a chronic shoulder injury, will be back on stage this Thursday.

But this time, it will be his fourth wife, Jiaxin Cheng, 47, playing the cello, and their ten-year-old daughter, Jasmine, singing, while Lloyd Webber, 70, gives a reading, at the Kids For Kids fundraiser in Belgravia.

‘We wanted something special to celebrate our 20th year,’ the charity’s founder, Patricia Parker, tells me.

‘It is very exciting that Julian will perform for us.

‘Our aim at the concert is to make him become very personally involved with the work we do for the kids who have nothing in Darfur.’
