IT’S pretty hard to miss the message that omega-3 fatty acids are important for health. But there are other vital omega fatty acids. This week: omega 7 FOUND IN: Two of the richest sources are macadamia nut oil and the seed and berry of the sea buckthorn plant. It is also found in dairy and avocados.

WHAT’S NEW: Omega 7 has been linked to health benefits, including reduced inflammati­on and blood sugar levels, and alleviatin­g skin dryness. In one Korean study, it was shown to have an antiinflam­matory effect, helping to promote the regenerati­on of collagen, which gives skin its structure.
