Just wear a mask

I’ve no problem wearing a face mask in public. In fact, I’ve never stopped.

The problem is that wearing a mask doesn’t prevent you from getting the virus. It stops you spreading it to others — the ‘I’m all right Jacks’ who think that’s not a sufficient reason to wear a mask themselves.

ROBIN FRENCH, Brentwood, essex. hAvInG re-introduced measures that should not have been removed, why is mask wearing not mandatory in all indoor public spaces? And given that this virus is spread by person-to-person transmission, what has happened to social distancing?

ROBIN ALLAN, Street, Somerset. I don’T understand why it’s oK to go into a pub, restaurant or attend a sports event without a mask, but not pop into a shop.
