UK’s ‘Goebbels’ is facing prison
THE head of propaganda for a banned neo-Nazi terror group trying to wage a race war in Britain was facing jail last night.
Ben Raymond, 32, co-founded the ‘unapologetically racist’ National Action in 2013, which promoted ethnic cleansing as well as attacks on sexual minorities and liberals.
It was banned in 2016, but Raymond, of Swindon, Wiltshire, later helped it transform into National Socialist Anti-Capitalist Action. He denied being a member of a proscribed group but was convicted after a trial at Bristol Crown Court.
He was also found guilty of possessing a document or record of use to a terrorist and faces jail when sentenced on Friday. Prosecutor Barnaby Jameson QC likened Raymond, pictured, to Hitler’s propaganda chief Joseph Goebbels.
He said: ‘His jihad was fought with words and images. He was like Joseph Goebbels...the natural head of propaganda’.
