THE lovely photo of a baby being weighed on M&S fruit and veg scales (Mail) brought back memories of my visits to the baby clinic with my children 40 years ago.
It was a chance to meet other mums, share issues and speak to the health visitor. I still have all the weight cards.
ANNE WHITLAM, Walkeringham, Notts. THE mother weighing her son on a fruit and veg scale reminded me of a nursing sister at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in the 1970s.
When I helped her weigh babies in the clinic, she told me that ideally they should make ‘an ounce a day and a rest on Sunday’.
