Weighty matter

THE lovely photo of a baby being weighed on M&S fruit and veg scales (Mail) brought back memories of my visits to the baby clinic with my children 40 years ago.

It was a chance to meet other mums, share issues and speak to the health visitor. I still have all the weight cards.

When I helped her weigh babies in the clinic, she told me that ideally they should make ‘an ounce a day and a rest on Sunday’.
