Ruined Christmas
MAKING it impossible to post toys from Britain to France is hardly the marker of an entente cordiale.
This was brought to the attention of my elderly parents by a Royal Mail clerk when they tried to post a Christmas package to France.
My brother lives in France and, due to Covid restriction, we haven’t been able to get together as a family for two years. The simple delight of being able to post small gifts to each other’s children has been ruined.
It beggars belief the French would stoop so low at a time when families will be posting Christmas gifts. JAMES HUGHES,

I SENT a small teddy bear to my 12-year-old granddaughter in Brunei that had once been her mum’s. She was thrilled to receive it.
I asked her what could I post to her for Christmas and she’s asked for a handkerchief washed by her nana because the smell will remind her of England. It’s the simple things in life that matter. STEPHEN SHERRINGTON, Ashton-in-Makerfield,
