LEEDS CHIEF’S ANGER AT ‘MAOIST’ REFORMS

LEEDS chief executive Angus Kinnear last night compared the fan-led review of football governance to the Maoist regime in China. Kinnear said in his programme notes: ‘Enforcing upon football a philosophy akin to Maoist collective agriculturalism (which culminated in the greatest famine in history) will kill the competition, which is the English game’s lifeblood.’
