Don’t live in fear

I AgRee with Professor Angus dalgleish’s common sense analysis of the knee-jerk reaction to the new omicron variant (Mail).

With the knowledge we now have of Covid plus the excellent vaccines, we no longer need to live in fear.

Surely the time has come to live with this virus and its mutations, just as we live with the flu.

We were told the vaccines would give us freedom but, sadly, this is not the case. The education system, economy and physical and mental health have suffered enough.

As the professor rightly says, let us retain the clear perspective and common sense that should prevail in a free society.
