Given the character is a psychopathic Russian assassin, such hopes seem forlorn – however angelic she may appear. Fans of the BBC1 show were yesterday treated to a glimpse of the fourth and final series to be broadcast in February.
Among the photos posted on Instagram Villanelle, played by Jodie Comer, 28, is seen in a white Communion-style dress with angel wings, while another shows her dressed in a crimson cassock before an altar.
