Sir Rod admits bouncer attack
SIR Rod Stewart has admitted hitting a bouncer after being refused entry to a New Year’s Eve party – but has avoided getting a criminal record.
The singer, 76, and son Sean, 40, pleaded guilty ‘in absentia’ to ‘simple battery’ over the incident in 2019 involving Jesse Dixon, 34, at a hotel near their home in Palm Beach, Florida.
Sir Rod was due to face trial next month – with the threat of a year behind bars – before an agreement was reached with prosecutors yesterday that included a ‘withhold of adjudication’. The pair must pay £510 in court and prosecution costs.
