THE EPIC (AND EXPENSIVE) TRIP NORTH
DAY 1 Private dinner at the Natural History Museum, with ‘several famous explorers’. Day2or3 Private jet to Svalbard - between Norway and the North Pole. Refresher polar survival training. Day4or5 Fly to Greenland, landing at Station Nord, a military and scientific base. ‘Bonding’ dinner with crew of 22, including scientists. Day 6 Set off north with convoy of six custom-made vehicles, two snowmobiles and crew. Next 7 days (at least) Journey past glaciers to Kaffeklubben – ‘the northernmost point on land on Earth’, sleeping in ‘the most comfortable and resistant tents’. Brochure adds that the traveller will then ‘reach an undiscovered land north of Kaffeklubben and you will be the first person to ever set foot there’. End of trip
Return to Station Nord and flytoa superyacht, where the holidaymaker can arrange for their family to be waiting on board. Enjoy whale watching or even extend the trip and reach the geographical North Pole, or just relax on a cruise. Private jet home from Svalbard
