1977 RADUCANU became the first British woman to win a Grand Slam singles title since Virginia Wade in 1977. It ended a run of 175 Slams without a female British winner. 1958 RADUCANU became just the second Briton (male or female) to win a Grand Slam without dropping a set, after Angela Mortimer in Australia in 1958.
