TOP FLIGHT WARY OF FOOTY LEAKS
THE Premier League’s fear of leaks from their shareholders’ meetings is such that any documents or presentations shown during the summits are rarely given to the clubs due to concerns that they could be passed on. All clubs are invited to send two representatives to the meetings, but other than receiving the agenda and notice of any forthcoming votes in advance, no other documents are handed out. This secretive approach has caused problems for clubs who have undergone recent changes of ownership, with Burnley and Newcastle both having to ask for previous minutes.
