CLUBS GIVE UP ON VAX REFUSERS

ANTI-VACCINATION attitudes are so engrained in certain dressing rooms that one player at a Championship club is refusing to get vaccinated despite having lost his father, who was in his early 50s, to Covid last year. Many clubs are concerned that some players simply won’t be swayed, despite the risks to their own health and the disruption caused to their careers, and have given up attempting to persuade them. This was demonstrated earlier this week when the Football League revealed that 25 per cent of players have said they are not planning to get vaccinated at any point.
