Arsenal future in doubt as striker made to train on his own

- By SAMI MOKBEL Chief Football Reporter

Former Arsenal skipper Pierreemerick Aubameyang has been banished from first-team training and will continue to be exiled by manager mikel Arteta until the end of the year at the earliest. Aubameyang was stripped of the captaincy on monday for a breach of club rules when he returned late from an agreed trip to France to collect his sick mother last week. He will today miss his third game since the indescretion. The 32-year-old’s Arsenal future looks increasingly bleak. The striker has been told to train alone, away from the squad and Arteta confirmed yesterday that Aubameyang (left) would not be considered for today’s game at Leeds. His exile will continue until he leaves for Africa Cup of Nations duty with Gabon at the end of the month.
