HOW POINTS WORK
PERSONALPOINTS are calculated according to calories, saturated fats and sugar — all of which increase the Points value of any food. Lean protein lowers the PersonalPoints value because it builds and repairs tissue and helps you feel fuller for longer.
The WW algorithm also takes into account fibre (which lowers the Points value of a food); differentiates between healthy unsaturated fats and lesshealthy saturated fats; and assesses whether a food contains natural sugars (such as fruit) or added sugar (such as a biscuit). This means the PersonalPoints value given to a food is a highly accurate reflection of its true health benefits.
