Harry Dunn’s ‘killer’ has her case delayed
THE US woman accused of killing British teenager Harry Dunn in a road crash will no longer face court next week.
Anne Sacoolas, 44, had been due to appear via videolink at Westminster Magistrates Court in London on Tuesday, but it was postponed so that ‘ongoing discussions’ can continue with her lawyers and UK prosecutors.
The American diplomat’s wife is accused of killing the 19-yearold motorcyclist as she allegedly drove on the wrong side of the road outside a US military base in Northamptonshire in 2019.
She left Britain 19 days after the crash, claiming diplomatic immunity, but the Crown Prosecution Service later authorised police to charge her with causing death by dangerous driving. An extradition request was rejected by the US government.
Last night a spokesman for the Dunn family said they had been ‘looking forward to the hearing on Tuesday so they hope an agreement will be reached sooner rather than later.
‘It is vitally important for their mental health that justice and closure is achieved soon.’
