KOHLI BLAMES BATTERS FOR SERIES DEFEAT

-

VIRAt KoHlI has blamed India’s batting line-up for their 2-1 series defeat in South Africa. the hosts completed victory by seven wickets in the third and final test at Newlands to take the series against the world’s No 1 test team. India captain Kohli said: ‘one of the challenges we have faced abroad is making sure we capitalise on momentum when it is on our side. ‘the batting has to be looked into, there is no running away from that. We can’t pinpoint any other aspect of our game. ‘Having collapses every now and then is not a good thing and we need to correct that.’ Keegan Petersen hit 82 as South Africa chased down 212 for victory. It is only the fourth time India have lost a series after winning the first test.
