Class clown

BORIS JOHNSON is like the class clown who thinks that with a smirk and a ruffle of his carefully messed up hair he can get away with anything.

His weaknesses have been in the spotlight too often. He should surround himself with some mature figures and follow their advice. Then he just might pull back from the cliff edge.

W. ABBOTT, Wem, Shropshire. ON SUNDAY evenings during the first lockdown, our neighbours brought a garden chair, glass of wine and sat down for an hour at the end of their driveways. It helped to keep us sane and in touch during a very difficult time.

Is this any different than the workers of Downing Street enjoying a drink in a huge garden after a working day trying their best to make the decisions that would keep people safe.

Was it wrong for Boris Johnson to come out to show his support and gratitude for their hard work?
