BURNLEY GOING WOUT AND ABOUT IN SEARCH FOR NEW STRIKER

■ BURNLEY are in talks with Wolfsburg over a deal for prolific Holland internatio­nal Wout Weghorst (below). The 6ft 6in striker, 29, wants to come to the Premier League and Burnley are trying to agree terms. Burnley have checked on QPR’s Lyndon Dykes, free agent Andy Carroll and Cardiff’s Kieffer Moore, who is the subject of a bid from Bournemout­h. The Clarets are also finalising the £7million signing of Dinamo Zagreb winger Mislav Orsic.

■ TOTTENHAM are proposing to sign midfielder Sofyan Amrabat on loan from Fiorentina with an option to buy for £13.4m. Spurs are waiting for PSG to agree Tanguy Ndombele’s loan first, amid offers from Valencia and Everton. Winger Jack Clarke has joined Sunderland on loan.

■ ARSENAL’S move for Juventus midfielder Arthur could collapse after the Turin club refused to sanction an 18-month loan. Striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has been left out of Arsenal’s squad for their winter training trip to Dubai. Jack Wilshere, who is training with Arsenal, is expected to travel. Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund continue to consider Everton’s Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

■ CHELSEA will hold more talks with Cesar Azpilicuet­a, 32, over his demands for a three-year contract. The club would prefer to offer the Barcelona target a one-year rolling deal.

■ MANCHESTER UNITED have held further talks with Crystal Palace over a loan deal for Donny van de Beek.

■ WOLVES have triggered an option to sign Hwang Hee-chan on a permanent deal from Red Bull Leipzig for £11.9m.

■ CARDIFF are lining up Middlesbro­ugh striker Uche Ikpeazu. Bournemout­h and QPR want Derby forward Tom Lawrence.

■ BIRMINGHAM CITY are close to signing Rangers midfielder Juninho Bacuna.
