Solanke puts Bournemouth within sight of the big time

- by ADAM SHERGOLD

BOURNEMOUTH inched closer to the Premier League courtesy of a last-gasp Dominic Solanke penalty against already-promoted FULHAM. Aleksandar Mitrovic scored his 41st goal of the season, awarded thanks to goal-line technology, to hand Fulham the lead but Solanke converted from the spot in the 98th minute to seal a 1-1 draw. Fulham manager Marco Silva was sent off for his protests against the decision, after Harry Wilson tripped Adam Smith. Both will be hoping to capitalise on any Bournemouth slip-up to snatch second, however. LUTON look likely to make the play-offs but were held 1-1 at home by BLACKPOOL. SHEFFIELD UNITED complete the top six following a crucial 1-0 win over CARDIFF. MILLWALL are three points behind them after a 2-2 draw at BIRMINGHAM. MIDDLESBROUGH’S play-off hopes, meanwhile, suffered a setback in a 1-1 draw at SWANSEA. BLACKBURN can still make the play-offs, but will need to win their last three games, starting with tonight’s trip to
