BURGER King plans to open 200 restaurants in the UK over the next five years after sales jumped and profits recovered.
The fast food chain said total revenues in 2021 climbed by 68pc to £211.7m compared with the previous year, as like-for-like sales lifted by 46pc.
Burger King UK said it plans to open 200 more sites by 2026 and is confident regarding a pipeline of potential locations. The firm swung to a £33.4m profit for the year, compared with a £7.5m loss in 2020.
Chief executive Alasdair Murdoch said: ‘Burger King UK delivered a strong performance in 2021.
‘We have a strong development pipeline to further grow our UK footprint.’
