Promoted for failing

IT’S no surprise to me that council officers who have failed in their jobs have been promoted (Mail).

I worked for a local authority for 36 years and used to see high-flyers come and go. They usually stayed in their post for three years before going to a higher level of job at another council, leaving behind a mess for underlings to sort out.

We called them the Three Fs because they floated in, failed and f***ed off!
