■ AB Dynamics gained after upgrading its forecasts after strong first-half results.

The firm, which develops technology used in car testing and simulations, reported a 63pc rise in profit to £5.7m for the six months to the end of February while revenues climbed 39pc to £37.8m.

It flagged ‘strong growth’ in the Asia-Pacific market as well as ‘significant improvements’ in orders and revenues from its track testing business.

The shares rose 3.7pc, or 50p, to 1400p.
