is primed to try to improve on last season’s second place in the Ascot Gold Cup in June after a head win from Quickthorn in the Sagaro Stakes. Trainer Tony Mullins said of Princess Zoe’s victory at the track yesterday in the hands of Joey Sheridan: ‘She was fit enough to win but hopefully if I’m any good at training she is going to improve for Royal Ascot. ‘The extra half-mile is going to make a difference anyway and I feel there is more in the tank. ‘I have never had a horse like her and never will again.’
