Money not the solution

-

GIVEN there is a shortage of GPs, it is hard to see how a reduction in surgery hours will improve anything.

GPs say shorter hours will provide a better service, but don’t say how. The reduction in availability could easily provide a worse service for those unable to get an appointment and there are already thousands of those.

The NHS is a Government organisation, but Health Secretary Sajid Javid doesn’t appear to be in control of it. All that’s ever done is billions of pounds are shoved into the health service for reasons of political publicity, even though we all know money doesn’t solve anything.

R. HAVENHAND, Nantwich, Cheshire. SURGERIES closing early? As is in evidence across the country, GP services are nearly defunct with the inept Government still blaming Covid. What has gone wrong?

B. CHANNING, Pembroke.
