A Tory with backbone

ANY true conservative will be cheered by rumours that Lord Frost may be prepared to set aside his peerage and stand for Parliament in one of two forthcoming by-elections.

He is being tipped for the safe Tory seat of Tiverton and Honiton after the departure of porn-watching MP Neil Parish.

As chief negotiator for exiting the EU, Lord Frost was instrumental in getting Brexit done. He stood firm against Brussels bullying over the Northern Ireland protocol.

Being from Nottingham, he understands Red wall priorities, believes passionately in a low-tax/high-growth economy and is strongly opposed to spurious green taxes.

He is untried as an elected politician, of course. But from everything we know so far, he seems to have exactly the sense of Tory mission – and backbone – the Government needs.
