THERE’S a lot to recommend this new, Birmingham-set series, not least its star, Parminder Nagra — of Bend It Like Beckham and ER fame — but also its writer, Maya Sondhi, who knows her way around a crime drama — she played PC Maneet Bindra in Line Of Duty. Detective Inspector Rachita Ray (Nagra, pictured) is clearly an outstanding investigator, but as she starts a new role with the homicide squad, she’s still got a lot to prove. Continues nightly until Thursday.
