Lording it up
THE House of Lords is refusing to turn the thermostat below 22c because ‘it’s an environment where most people are sitting’.
As a pensioner, I, too, sit a lot, but I have my thermostat set at 14c and the heating is switched on only six hours a day.
I suggest the Lords and all Government departments turn down the heating and buy some jumpers.
