On the buses

I AM dismayed that the 144 bus service will only run between Worcester and

Bromsgrove, with the Birmingham connection hacked off (Mail).

The service used to run all the way to the Malverns every 20 minutes at peak times.

Oh, the joys of boarding this bus in the centre of Brum for a trip to the countryside.

If you managed to nab the upstairs front seat, the climb up to the hills from Worcester on board a double-decker was sheer bliss.

I am pleased to learn that Webbs garden centre is still there as it was a favourite weekend family trip.
