Vive la difference

WILL the French intelligentsia follow our woke lead and try to make its language gender neutral?

This will be difficult because pronouns, titles and even nouns are gender specific.

I suspect the Academie Francaise will be loath to change the long-established rules of grammar to placate a noisy minority. It will be hard to persuade the French that ‘vive la difference’ is no longer an appropriate expression.
