What about boys?
I AGREE with Jenni Murray that the Girl Guides should be a safe space as a singlesex organisation.
She shared her memories of camping, climbing trees and building fires without the unwanted attention of boys.
I have the same memories of starting in the Cubs and going on to Scouts, where I enjoyed boys-only activities with no female distractions.
But I wouldn’t want to be a Scout today. As soon as girls were allowed to join the Scouts, activities were dumbed down.
It seems that while it is fine to stand up for female-only spaces, the same can’t be said for males.
Why do women want access to traditional clubs? Why aren’t men and boys allowed to have their own exclusive organisations?
