Now Aled Jones admits that people confuse him with a certain fellow television presenter, who’s the same age.

‘I get mistaken for

Clare Balding,’ reveals the 51-year-old Songs Of Praise host. ‘Lots of people do think that.’

He adds: ‘Someone once said to me, “You are like a cross between Princess Diana and Clare Balding”. I said: “Wow, I will take that.” It must be the hair.’

Yes, that must be it . . .
