- KATHRYN BATTE*

BEST PLAYER (Chelsea)

SAM KERR KERR’S goals led Chelsea to their third successive title. While the Blues have missed Fran Kirby and Pernille Harder in recent months, Australian Kerr has been a constant in the attack and has delivered in big games.

BEST GOAL CAROLINE WEIR

(Man City v Man Utd) A HUGE goal in the race for third place and arguably the turning point as City went on to finish ahead of their rivals. The midfielder picked up a loose ball, ran forward and chipped into the top corner over the despairing dive of Mary Earps. MOST IMPROVED BETH MEAD (Arsenal) THE winger had a point to prove

after being snubbed for Team GB’s Olympic squad last summer. She has proved her doubters wrong with 11 goals and eight assists. Mead has also been superb for England and almost certainly played her way into the starting XI for the Euros.

BEST YOUNG PLAYER (Man City)

LAUREN HEMP A BRIGHT spark in a struggling City team at the start of the season and their best performer by a mile. Her 10 goals and six assists have been crucial and she will be a huge player for England this summer.

BEST GAME CHELSEA 4 MAN UTD 2

YESTERDAY’S title-winning match at Kingsmeadow. A game full of twists and turns and standout goals.
