MY FAVOURITE speeding story (Letters) involves a motorcyclist who was a persistent offender along a certain stretch of road.

A radar trap was set up to catch him and he was recorded breaking the speed limit.

The officer who stopped him further along the road said: ‘I’ve been waiting for you.’ The cheeky motorcyclist replied: ‘Well, I got here as soon as I could.’ ALAN GODDARD,
