Is there a legal case against Rwanda plan?

-

IT DOESN’T take a legal eagle to work out who would be the first people to obstruct the plan to send migrants to Rwanda. Why haven’t restrictions been placed on legal objections? And how much will fighting them add to our enormous burden of debt?

Mrs J. H. O’WARE, Methwold, Norfolk. SO THE Rwanda plan is derailed by Left-wing lawyers while the boats continue to come. Just who is running this country?

DAVE POTTINGER, West Bromwich.

MY EXPERIENCE in the police service when dealing with strong young men who are being forced into doing something to which they object tells me migrants will not get peacefully aboard a plane to Rwanda. It will require at least three escorts to accompany each one. The pilot has responsibility for passengers’ safety, so what will they think when a shrieking crowd are being forced into their seats? I would be interested to know how the Home Secretary intends to complete these transfers in a civilised and peaceful way.

PETER McCORMACK, Bognor Regis, W. Sussex. IT LOOKS as if the Government will be entering a legal battle with human rights lawyers over the plan to send migrants to Rwanda. I had hoped that when we left the EU we would be creating a human rights charter tailored to our needs. It proves procrastination can come back and bite you on the posterior.

W. BRECKIN, Wakefield, W. Yorks.

THE obstacle to sending migrants to Rwanda is nothing to do with ‘Leftie’ lawyers. It is due to the fact asylum seekers are protected under human rights legislation and the UN Refugee Protocol, of which we are signatories. The idea of flying desperate, traumatised people to an African nation with a poor human rights record is appalling.

L. FORRESTER, Dorchester, Dorset.

IF BORIS believes his Rwanda plans are legal, why is he so afraid of socalled Leftie lawyers challenging it?

Rev Dr JASPER KENTER,

Borth, Ceredigion. WHEN the weather is fine and the Channel is calm, there are more boatloads of migrants. The Rwanda plan is not a deterrent.

JAQUI MASCHERA, Hove, E. Sussex.
