Teacher suzanne, from Bolton, spent four weeks as a private patient at the Priory altrincham, where she was prescribed antidepres­sants for insomnia before being allowed home. The Priory had no contact with her for 11 months before her death in 2014.

her GP reduced her medication shortly before she hanged herself. The coroner said the hospital had no system for contacting patients who missed appointmen­ts.
