Helen’s new look after marriage break-up
HELEN Skelton has made her first public outing since announcing her split from husband Richie Myler.
The Countryfile presenter put on a brave face when she posed on the red carpet at the Sports Industry Awards in London amid her very public separation from the rugby league star.
Miss Skelton, 38, looked chic in an offwhite maxi dress and a new hairstyle with pink and purple highlights as she smiled for the cameras. The former Blue Peter star had also noticeably removed her wedding and engagement rings for Thursday night’s event.
It follows her recent announcement about the breakdown of her eightyear marriage to Myler, 31. In a statement on Instagram last month, the mother of three wrote: ‘Very sad to say Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home.
We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.’
The news came just four months after the couple had welcomed their daughter Elsie Kate. They also have sons Ernie, six, and Louis, four.
The TV host reportedly hired a private investigator after suspecting her husband was being unfaithful. He has since begun a new relationship with Stephanie Thirkill, 32, the daughter of the multi-millionaire president of the Leeds Rhinos club he plays for.
The pair reportedly met last autumn, but Myler has insisted their romance started after his marriage ended.
A source close to Miss Skelton said: ‘Helen is absolutely devastated. She thought their marriage was safe and secure and is totally shocked.’
