Is it high time for England to leave the UK?

PETER HITCHENS is absolutely right that England should go it alone without the other nations of the UK calling the shots (Mail). They are supremely ungrateful for the largesse given to them by the English taxpayer. If they wish to leave the Union, we should not stand in their way. How wonderful it would be if the House of Commons could be freed from pontificating SNP windbag Ian Blackford. Scotland has its own Parliament, so why is he interfering in English law-making?

WELL done, Peter Hitchens, for saying what many English people think. None of the other nations could stand alone without the bags of money supplied from England. If Scotland wants to go, let it.

We depend upon each individual country for our security, defence, finances and future prosperity. Can anyone stand alone in this world? Isolation is not a good idea. We need to stay together.

IT’S about time someone stood up for England and the English. We should stop apologising for our history, culture, laws and religious beliefs. We produce wealth and have a global standing way beyond our size. We are generous to incomers and poorer countries. And what do we get in return?
